MAMA CALMA

Mindfulness and relaxation for all mamas

Hypnobirthing for the ones who will soon be giving birth to their little miracles
I am so glad you've found me, and I hope this feeling is mutual! You are in the right place if you are a mum, a mum-to-be, or trying to conceive. Mama Calma is for all mothers. I aim to teach you how to relax and stay in the moment no matter the circumstances or how busy you are - and believe me when I say this: I know life can get pretty chaotic.
My Story
My introduction to mindfulness began at Birkbeck, University of London, in 2016. It was there that I delved into Mindfulness-Based Stress Management, forming the foundation of my views on well-being and the deep connections between body and mind.

Academically, I went on to complete a PhD in Psycholinguistics, exploring the intricate relationship between language and the mind—insights that continue to enrich my work with hypnobirthing and mindfulness today.

Growing up, birth stories in my family were often framed as traumatic. This left a lasting impression on me and sparked a quiet determination to do things differently. When I found out I was pregnant with my first child, while moving cities, starting a new role, and pursuing my PhD, hypnobirthing became my anchor. It helped me turn a chaotic chapter into a calm, empowering experience, and ultimately gave me a birth I still carry with deep pride and gratitude.

The impact of hypnobirthing on my life isn’t theoretical—it’s deeply personal. I’ve now had two beautiful hypnobirthing experiences—one in hospital, and one a peaceful home water birth. Both were completely different, yet equally powerful reminders that birth can be calm, confident, and connected when approached with knowledge and trust in the body.

Outside of work, I love yoga, meditation, and getting lost in books on psychology. Cooking, baking, and even housework are moments I enjoy, especially with a good audiobook in the background. I'm also a beginner runner, newly exploring movement in a way that feels grounding and energising.
